My daughter Lola and I have some pretty cool things popping up in here inspired by road trips up California Highway 1. Check out our hand-knotted silk and japanese glass macramé necklaces and bracelets. A boho favorite from the 70’s — with California roots — macramé emerged from the Spanish missions of Southern California over 200 years ago.
Take a look at our hand dyed shibori and ombre —- 100% cotton wraps and bandanas hand tied with jute cord, pine block and dipped in pure indigo. I’m not sure when this traditional Japanese textile landed in California but it has become a well-loved essential along the Golden Coast from Los Angeles to San Francisco. These little beauties are perfect for absolutely everything from bags to lightweight sun protection to sarongs, scarves, bandanas, belts and blankets for beach picnics. we only make them when we have the time and they all come out different — so if you see one you like grab it!
