My career is making buildings and my true love is exploring design! I’ve spent two decades experimenting with organic and manufactured mediums and techniques to make jewelry and design installations. I was born in the Live Free or Die state of New Hampshire, I moved to Rhode Island in 1995 to get a degree in architecture. In 1999 I went to Paris to work with Naco Studio, an atelier specializing in retail and commercial architecture and industrial design. It was so cool to work with big names in the beauty and fashion industries including Sephora and Kookai — which eventually brought me back to NYC to work with Jeff Vandeberg Architects on developing the Chelsea Market, now home to Oxygen Network, Google and the NYC Highline.  Our office was located in Manhattan’s garment district on a street full of gem and fabric stores, so my lunch breaks became time to buy beautiful things then figure out what to do with them. Playing with these materials led me to installation and jewelry design. In addition to my day job “making buildings” and weekend jewelry adventures, I’ve directed 6 public events in the City of Boston as director and founder of SHIFTboston with the Boston Society of Architects and Institute of Contemporary Art and I’ve designed and built two public installations in Boston — Enfold Evans way and Hydra.
